Founded in 2006, the Northern European–based luxury fragrance brand Byredo takes its name from redolence — the old English word for "sweet fragrance" — and pursues a perfumer's approach that simultaneously embraces historical and contemporary perspectives, built on founder Ben Gorham's Indian heritage. Having studied fine art at the Stockholm University of the Arts, Ben Gorham distills memories, emotions, and abstract concepts to deliver singular sensory experiences.
