MARQUES ALMEIDA is a brand founded by Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida, asserting in line with Helmut Lang's philosophy that "fashion is not about hemlines, but about attitude." Their aesthetic recalls a natural bluntness, but technical sense reveals itself in the construction of each piece. Since launching in 2011, the brand made its London Fashion Week debut through Lulu Kennedy's Fashion East and the British Fashion Council's NEWGEN Awards, and went on to win the LVMH Prize in 2015.
