Désirée Heiss and Ines Kaag, who met while studying design in Paris, launched the Paris- and Berlin-based brand BLESS in 1995. When the fur wig from BLESS's first collection N°00 appeared on the FW 1997 Maison Margiela runway and drew worldwide attention, BLESS rose to the ranks of high-end lifestyle brands presenting experimental design.
