NAMACHEKO
Sibling duo Dilan and Lezan Lurr, born in Iraqi Kurdistan and raised in Sweden, are the designers behind the Belgian menswear brand Namacheko. Self-taught in pattern making, the Lurr siblings explore concepts of diaspora, duality, and cultural identity through clothing — merging the disparate elements of Kurdish heritage and European education into deeply simple, intense personal design. Non-traditional menswear staples embody a series of juxtapositions between simplicity and complexity, convention and experimentation, and Eastern and Western culture. Crisp shirts, minimalist knitwear, and well-tailored pants are elevated through subtle details, including geometric color blocking, intentionally sharp hems, and unexpected tailoring.
