GAP
Gap is an American fashion brand built around an American casual style, producing and selling basic fashion items including jeans, tees, shirts, and knitwear. Donald and Doris Fisher opened the first Gap store in San Francisco in 1969 — its name capturing the meaning of The Generation Gap — selling Levi's jeans and records to a young audience. The store became a hit among American youth thanks to wide selections of Levi's in many sizes and colors at affordable prices, and Gap soon transitioned into apparel manufacturing under its own name. From 1986 onward, Gap pioneered the SPA (Specialty store retailer of Private label Apparel) system, growing into a clothing brand that leads the global fashion industry.
